We posed this question to our viewers:
What would you like to see happen to the last scene in Carousel of Progress, to make it more futuristic?

I would like to see nothing change in Carousel of Progress. This was one of Walt's creations and it should keep as just that. This is one of the last standing things that he had a very personal hand in and it's simply a wonderful thing to observe and even chuckle at that once people thought we'd be like that. Walt's magic is important in the life status of all that is Disney and I don't think we should take away or change any of those memories he gave to us.
I'd like the future scene to have an advertisement for Disney's newest thrill ride: "PLUTO'S SPAM TRAM ADVENTURE"

Are you okay, Imagine?:rotfl: You 'sound' a little 'pale'.....:lmao: I think they should leave the 'Carousel of Progress' alone, also. I think there should be an audio explaination that although it is outdated, it is being preserved that way in honor of  Mr. Disney as this is one of the last few projects that he, himself created. Then I would like to see a figure or portrait of him somehow worked into the final scene. I think if that was stated, people would understand why it was not being updated and wouldn't look at it as being 'old fashion' or 'stale'. - Mickey's Pal:Mickeywalk: :Mickeyear:

Imagine, I just thought of somehing else. If they did leave it the way it is now (with the announced defference to  Mr. Disney that I mentioned), as time goes by, it may be very interesting for future visitors to 'look back' and see what was, at one time, considered to be 'very modern' and 'futuristic' on the date that the original final scene was done. - Mickey's Pal:Mickeywalk: :Mickeyear:

They shouldn't modify the last scene, but should add another one in. This would be logically improbable, but they could comment in the next scene about what we thought the future was going to be like years ago, and how "now" they are so much further along then they ever dreamed of being.

refrigerator ovens. I'm totally serious. Put dinner in the "refrigerator" when you leave for work in the morning and have it preset to go into oven mode so you come home to an already defrosted dinner.

I saw that show on the science channel too! Honestly though, they have one of these already working in (of course) MIT, but it's still a long ways away from being common household, so I think that would be a good addition.
