Disneyland has issued a new piece of concept art for Pirates Lair at Tom Sawyer?s Island that gives off a good look at what the front of the island as well as the boats to ferry you across may soon look like.

Among the other adventures to be found on the island will be a ?Dead Man?s Grotto? in the island caverns, a ?Pirate?s Den? on the familiar Castle Rock, and opportunities to search for buried treasure while encountering live pirates."

Anyone other than me who thinks that they should do this at WDW?

yeah, this looks like a really good idea. For one thing, it won't *really* disrupt the mood of what's going on over there.

And it looks COOL and interesting.

I?ve added a new photo from Disney showing off Captain Jack?s Swashbuckling Adventure, a high engery performance that takes place several times daily in Pirate?s Lair when it opens on May 25th. Once you set foot on the island, your sure to come face to face with the local pirates who will try to entice guests to join them. Cavern explorers can venture into Dead Man?s Grotto where they?ll encounter ghostly apparitions, buried treasure, haunting voices and the thumping sound of Davy Jones heart locked inside a chest. Other fun items on the island include a sunken ship that can be raised from the water with a hoist, a bone cage, the classic barrel bridge and much more.
