Transformers: The Ride?

By Mike Duchock According to IESB.net, The Movie Reporter, a Transformers themed dark ride could be coming to a theme park near you. The article mentions Disney as a possible site for the ride but given the sticky licensing situation with MGM I doubt they'd take on a Paramount property. The rumoured closure of T2:3D at Universal Studios in Hollywood and/or Orlando would open up a good site for the ride.

oh please, please, please choose disney. besides, the hollywood studios covers all great movies from hollywood and the movie has no affiliation with universal at all.

Besides Disney Studios could use a new ride. Transformers would make for a great ride!

I think Transformers would make a great Disney ride. I'm thinking a more intense ride like Rock n Roller Coaster or Mission:SPACE kinda ride. They could make the transportation Bumble Bee. That would be cool.

New Transformers Mega-Attraction for Universal

"Transformers...will now be developed as a new theme park mega-attraction in a partnership between Universal Parks & Resorts, Hasbro, Inc. and DreamWorks Pictures.

The attraction will fuse 3D-HD media, mega special effects and stunning robotics with a ride system that will transform perceptions of theme park experiences. The rides are scheduled to make their debuts in early 2011, first at Universal Studios Singapore and then at Universal Studios Hollywood."

that is too bad. i think that disney imagineers would do such a better job putting this attraction together over at the DHS. but it's really shocking to see that it will first be in singapore first before hollywood.

Transformers attraction coming to Universal Studios Hollywood

Universal Studios Hollywood will be opening a Transformers themed attraction in 2011. This latest thrill ride will feature 3-D high definition, robotics and special effects.

Transformers will be replacing Backdraft and the Special Effects Soundstage. Industry insiders estimate the cost will exceed the Simpson's $40 million price tag. The Transformers attraction is also scheduled to be built at Universal Studios Singapore and will make its debut prior to its LA counterpart.

Construction on Transformers is scheduled for Fall of 2009 following the summer release of the Transformers movie sequel.
