The Celebrate A Dream Come True Parade at Magic Kingdom will get some float changes.

Disney's Animal Kingdom
A new parade may be in development for Disney's Animal Kingdom. Whether or not this will be the long-rumored Rivers of Light nighttime parade or a replacement for Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade is still unclear.

Oh, I really hope it's Rivers of Light!

As of 2008 the parade's future was uncertain because it needed to be reworked to either fit in DAK's paths or would require the paths to be widened.

Haha, the name is a sort of an oximoron. It would run on land.

While the pathways are an issue, the current plan is to scale things down a bit and look to re-launch the concept sometime between late 2010 and 2011.

The Celebrate a Dream Come True parade will have changes at the end of the summer. Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen will replace Baloo and King Louie on the finale castle float.

The Disney Princesses unit will also be reorganized.

I never get to see the afternoon parades anymore because I like to go back to the hotel to swim and rest each day, although I really would like to see the Jammin' Jungle Parade sometime. - MP

MP, if you can do it this trip, you really should try and see Jammin' Jungle. It's our all-time favorite!



And here's a tip --

About 15 minutes before it starts, be in Harambe, up by the Tusker House, and get a beverage, adult or otherwise, from either the Dawa Bar or Tamu Tamu Refreshments, and sit comfortably in the shade at the Dawa.

The parade starts up by Kilimamjaro Safaris, so when you hear the start, stand up and walk to the front of the Dawa. You should have an excellent view.

Then, when the parade has passed by, DON'T follow the huge crowds out. Sit back down and finish your beverage or get another, and wait for about 15 minutes.

The parade comes back!



It also Ends right where it started near Kilimanjaro Safaris, so you get to see the whole parade twice! Plus miss the huge mobs who exit after it passes by the first time.
